MU series Low profile compact DC-DC for general use

1. Design Background
COSEL has its SU/SUC series as the existing low-profile DC-DC converter and its MG series as the
existing footprint space saving DC-DC converter. The 1.5 to 10Watt line-up has popular demand in the
market.
This time COSEL developed its MU series as the next generation DC-DC converter to the existing SU
/SUC series.
COSEL is introducing the MU series, the next generation of DC-DC converters, building on the existing SU/SUC
series. The SU/SUC series is known for its low-profile design, and the MG series offers space-saving solutions.
The 1.5W to 10W range has been in high demand. The new MU series is designed to meet growing customer
needs with improved performance and features.
COSEL is expanding their line of DC/DC converters with the new MU Series. This is in addition to the current
SU/SUC series of low-profile converters and the highly successful MG series of small footprint DC/DC converters.
The MU series initial introduction will be in the 1.5 and 3 Watt versions in single and dual +/- output. The MU
series offers increased performance and higher efficiency to meet the demands of discriminating engineers.
2. Product Enchantments
(1) Low-profile・Footprint Saving
Not only the height is 8.5mm but also the footprint is small by the high efficiency.
*Footprint comparison to the existing SUC series: 1.5W is the same and 3W is 28% smaller.
(2) Wide Operating Ambient Temperature Range
Available at various environment between -40℃ to 100℃.
(3) SMD Mount Type・Through-hole Mount Type
Can choose SMD mount type or Through-hole mount type.
(4) Various Output Voltage Line-up
3.3V, 5V, 12V, 15V, ±12V, ±15V
(5) 4 Types of Input Voltage Range
5VDCin: 4.5V to 9V, 12VDCin: 9V to 18V
24VDCin: 18V to 36V, 48VDCin: 36V to 76V
3. Target Applications
(1) Control panels of Measurement, Analysis equipment
(2) Communication Systems that Wide Input Voltage range is required.
(3) Other General Indsutry equipment
